tracking my laptop!

YAY!! my laptop has shipped. it's a nice world again. too bad circuit city is playing hide-&-go-seek with my rebate confirmation code...i need that shit! and quick!

whatever happened to Gmail....i've been looking & watching and nothing. same FAQs posted...same message as last year when they were gonna release in August (or sooner!). whatever.

As the world turns...i begin to see how soap operas can get so crazy. In the last week i've:
* considered telling car-guy that it's not working (BUT i don't know exactly what's not working, except the problem is that I'm working too much! 2 almost FT jobs now...PLUS FT freaking idiot school)
* found out 2 (maybe 3) other guys are interested in me (at school alone...)
* decided to move into a 5 BR house to save on expenses. BONUS: i'll save on expenses so that i can work less & possibly improve that car guy situation. NEGATIVE: 3 of the rooms are currently inhabited by guys, while the other room is looking for a resident. car guy will definitely not be too thrilled about that. plus they remind me of frat guys and only thought i was 21.
* on separate occasions i scheduled myself in 2places at the same time (major sign i need time/rest/etc!)
* lost power on Sunday
* no gas on tues-thurs
* Found out the guy in NC is still willing to wait on me...but he won't move b/c he's convinced Cali is gonna fall in the ocean soon...
* took apart my computer, found the problem, ordered a new one anyway, and am in the process of getting the part to fix the current one to ship to my little sisses.
* chopped my hair on my own! (oops! hope i got time to get it fixed this weekend!)
* OOPS! nevermind about the salon...drained my account buying a computer (see above). all b/c i was too lazy to transfer from my savings accoutn (takes too long...a lot happens in 3 days...3 BIZNESS days at that...)

GAH! too much to do, yet i plan to fit in some fun if mr "school is the number one priority right now" can re-organize his list b4 saturday nite!

home sweet i-needa-place-2-live...

ok, so i've seen some places today and, let me say, CHILDREN, i am quite disappointed!
the first appt was a house of sleepy/sleeping guys, seemingly of the fratboy species. if only they knew i had only woke up like 10 minutes before i drove down the road to view the place! after, of course, i got lost/turned-around in true lori style.
then, there were the sick girls (literally, hacking like they were the queens of the flu). obviously they were expecting me,as they had already hung a sheet around the living room AKA BEDROOM #3!! wtf...wat nerve!
couple places were too bad to even go inside of, merely drove by (while wondering if i was actually gonna end up in that first damn house! AHHH!)
and now i've only a couple more options b4 i start hanging wallpaper in my cardboard box!

i'm such a girl!

It all started when I was outside talking on the phone to my grandparents because t-mobile still sux in my apartment. I also wasn't allowed to use my free t-mobile weekend minutes last weekend b/c of the rain and i was trapped indoors. stupid stupid stupid...

anyway, so i am on the phone .....and I picked flowers! yikes!

even better! i came back to my apartment to put them in water before i made another call!

wat a girl! wat a girl! a girl with yellow daisy looking things in a little shot glass...awwwww...

i wonder if i should be worried?

my freaking little sister's AIM icon says "Ride Fat Chicks!" and consists of a guy riding a "big" girl like a horse... they are all smiles though! i have to admit it's a very cute animation!

oh! and my ex wants to live with me to save on rent! ha! i didn't hit my head THAT hard when i fell outta the damn turnip truck! that search still isn't going that well though! so...if there's anyone living around UCR who needs a fun roommate then i'm your girl! i'm rarely barely home, i just need a place to pretend to sleep!

shorty crunk on the floor wide open...

so the cure for a sore neck? why, shake it like a saltshaker. no kidding. works wonders. just don't let a single person see you. or a married person! or no one in general...

and i know i was supposed to detail my muffin crazy day, but i'm not in the mood. so long story short:
i cooked
i semi-burned
fire alarm goes off
fire alarm won't stop going off
i knock fire alarm off the ceiling to the floor
i am scared fire alarm is possessed, as it is still blaring at me
i kick, push, kick fire alarm
i see fire alarms have a battery
interesting
interesting indeed
i wonder if it it will fit in my dead battery remote control...hmmm....
i take out the battery
silence
now how to get rid of the smoke
of course!
air freshener!
wrong!
oh well...
car guy comes over & sees fire alarm is in pieces in the floor
he puts it back together & i get my smokey the bear lesson

i feel like cooking now!
one of my bosses always tells me that she doesn't like to cook [for her 15 years older husband and his 2 kids from a previous marriage]. but then again, she also thinks that exceptional is normal. you should see my damn performance review....a riot and a half.

Absolutely. Positively. One of the smartest things ever said...

"yeah, but i think the rain is connected to my gas electricity on the roof somehow."

unfortunately, i am the director, producer, & star of this statement. it's all me.

so, now, allow me to explain!

see, when it rains, I can tell it's raining because i hear it through this huge (taller than me, so taller than 5'6") gas heater unit on my wall. I live on the first floor of a 2-floor complex. Therefore, i figure there is some kind of escape for something gas-related on the roof that gives me my super ability to predict when it is raining outside. Yet, after a few drinks, this is how i decide to let everyone else in on my power.

tune in later for the summary of my recent muffin-baking experiment...it happened on the same day that i found Rain Man (apparently, he needed employment and is now working as the maintenance man at my apartment complex).

his job is teaching me

so i am sitting in class thinking, "damn, this professor is talking really slow. i bet he's averaging 5 minutes per slide." so i count the slides. 42. 40 times 5 is 200 minutes. 180 minutes is 3 hours...i am never ever leaving this room! wait! there's two 1-1/2 hour sessions per week. no the hell he's not going to split this into 2 days!

22 slides later he finds a superb stopping point to continue on thursday. oh, holy hell, i can't wait. i'll be there with my bells on.

and, apparently, roommates just don't fall outta the sky....looks like i'm gonna have to put a little effort into this apartment search...

FINALLY! I am almost normal again!

though i am still a bit queasy. but that may be due more to my extremely poor sources of nourishment today. I have a feeling that gummy worms are NOT what the doctor would have ordered. not that the doctor would have place the order himself, but they would probably have someone else do it for them. But I still can't picture the doc saying, "Nurse! Nurse! Come quick! We have dropped below our crucial inventory supply of the all-mighty gummy worms! Order more stat!"

I truly think i am only writing this post to confirm the date & time, as today has been a gigantic queasy blur. it consisted of some shakespeare and some failed apartment hunting.

i also remember waking up wearing only 1 of my 2 original shirts. & someone else's shirt. i also remember someone asking me if the white shirt i had was mine or lilly's....and then they asked whose the red one was.

i was like what red shirt? shit. somehow i was wearing a red shirt.

happy new year

indeed.

you know it must have been a great nite when you & all those around you:
* don't remember how/when you or they were put to bed
* wake up with cool bruises & no explanations
* actually feel like eggs the next morning until you eat them
* still feel sick in the early evening the following day

now i just have to remember to get all my new cds back. what i went through to get those....who knew they carded for explicit lyric cds!!?? that has never happened to me before, even when i was under the age.

more insight on life later, blog. right after i handle this damn internal dilemma. my mind says i need to try to eat again, but my stomach says, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!"
