i can be a cop!

YAY for spam mail!!

and, mr. blog, my spongebob squarepants crackers say, "hello, i hope u have had a nice day, too!"

they are so nice. almost as nice as the flattering scrub at the gas station today who wanted to do "all i wanted" to me because i am too gorgeous to be "just American". what lines he tried...

then i proceeded to the post office to pick up the gift certificate i ordered weeks ago. USPS claims they tried to deliever & no one signed. well, duh, i wasn't home (obviously) but you should have left a notice on my door. of course, i was assured a note was left...

maybe someone stole it then. maybe it was the guy who has been stealing my parking space. it's funny because now that he knows who i am, he uses it as a conversation starter every single time i see him...

did u wake up with toothpaste as well? or was that just me...

whooooooo! working-from-home attire rules!! whoooooooo!!
SHIT! hope no one knocks on my door!
well, unless they have a delivery for me! i like mail! good mail. i've got mail! well, nope, not yet i don't.

my dream last nite almost seems doable... must be my lack of sleep! i dreamt i ran my own "saturday lunch" business outta my little apartment. I offered the service at a charge of 4 dollars per person per saturday & i offered to those students who had to attend saturday classes. i even planned out the email solicitation in my head and i was ready to go! then, about 10 minuted after i woke up i started to rememberwhat a dork i was.

oh, i regain some coolness! i got a netflix gift certificate worth 3 months of membership for Xmas!! again....whooooo!! that should be fun! i'm so behind in movie watching! damn this time-consuming schedule! priorities.....alas....priorities...lol

panasonic pain

dear blog,
i dropped a tv on my foot this morning. i shoulda cried but i chose to curse instead. i taught myself a few new words. highly inappropriate & nice words. i am severely disappointed with the mark it left on my foot. It hurt MUCH worse than it looks.

oh, and i make my new "man" feel awkward? wtf? that's what he said. quote unquote. awkward.

he feels awkward because he spent all day playing video games & wants to go home and rest instead of coming to my place? i was fine with that! i even told him earlier i didn't care! and, apparently, that's the problem...that i don't care! lol.

bonus, he says i am too mysterious and he can't figure me out. well, damn, i can't be figured out! i've been trying for 26 years and 6 months (& 9 preemptive months) & i've gotten nowhere! if that's the point of all this i could have saved him some trouble! lol lol lol

the midas touch

home sweet home...wherever that is! back from my trip and x-mas in dallas.
no, my family, i'm not married yet.
no, my family, I'm not pregnant.
yes, i love you all dearly and i've had a wonderful visit. now, please take me back to the airport!
ok, so it wasn't bad at all. even spent a nite at my bro's and, seems like a new tradition, 2 of his friends now love me...
both decided to get drunk & tell me, however their approaches differed...
* bachelor #1 (1 year younger then i): his method was quite lowkey...outlast outlast outlast. finally walked home at 4AM after proclaiming his love for the hundredth time. but, alas, he understands that I must leave the state soon!
* bachelor #2 (2 years older than me, divorced, one child): my bro was in on this one. so at about 5AM, this guy decides to describe to me how perfect i am....even to the point of stating that i am made of gold. damn, i love alcohol-laden conversations... he is even willing to wait for me & be there for me & clean & cook for me, but he too understands that i must leave!
and then i get back on that plane (ignoring the incoming calls & listening to the "have a nice flight" messages from my new beaus) & i fly back to my cd-xmas-gift-getting current fling. too bad i didnt like that drunken unexpected kinda sorta kiss attempt from bachelor #2!! your ass woulda been grass!
i can't complain though, b/c at this point he has put much more into this "flingy" sorta thing than i have. all is fair again.

office space

(see the movie, BTW)

it seems to be my next to last day in my physical office for job #1. a blessing in disguise or a license to be lazy? hmmm...open for discussion.

I have the urge to fill my bag with all the nice little office trinkets i'm too cheap to buy. you know those little colorful post-it notes, the white-out pens, the staples, the pens, the extra software & computers...oops! i digress!

grades posted...stupid 3.6 due to the utilization of minus signs. why why why i ask? why,of course, a gift for not trying my best it does appear.

A gift, just like my everchanging flight plans. thanks to travelocity, my "xmas in DFW" adventure has now been reduced to a mere 4 hours. i will now have to act more swift in order to reak havoc and turn the city upside down in such a short time period. but it shall be done!

plans for the weekend? well, my crazy ex wants yet another chance--that's a giant ass negative. and i should have plans with my new guy, but we'll see if that works out. nonetheless, he has offered to take me to/from the airport next week. and, all next week I will be on Eastern Standard Time.

It's real odd, but I have only heard from people i didn't expect to! my brother's friend (recently divorced) has been calling like crazy & is even planning to come over to spend an evening with me & my bro during my visit. This should be interesting. I'm not "officially" taken, but i can't deal with more than one guy at a time...and hardly that!

Then, my friend from high school that I saw on my last trip who KNOWS i will be in NC next week, has yet to even acknowledge my existence. Some people are weird, for lack of a better or more educated-sounding term.

AND, last but not least....I SUCK! i have left all Xmas shopping until this weekend.
do i have a list? NO!
do i have any ideas? NO!
do i have a choice but to buy the first things i see that catch my attention? NO!

My advance apologies to those who receive a seemingly unthoughtful gift. the thought is there. the gift is there...but time is the culprit once again. well, mixed with a little bit of me forgetting & then realizing, "oh S-H-I-T! I'm leaving in a few days...i have less than a weekend to redeem myself in the eyes of Xmas spririts, mr. past, mr. present, and mr. future..." SHIT SHIT SHIT!!

error loading page...

sometimes, it seems if i press the mouse button really quick & harder then normal...the URL that previously timed out seems to work. hmmm...there must exist some sort of logic that explains this occurrence... well, besides the fact that i must be absolutely magical!
magical enough to have my new guy call me at 9:30 last nite to see what i was doing after work! well, duh, i'm going home, u fool! ummm, sure u can come over. I don't mind if u invite yourself! lol...but i really don't in this case.
so it wasn't a straight-up-middle-of-the-nite-I-need-u-now kinda call either. He also went to Best Buy and got the cables to hook my DVD player to the TV my ex is threatening to repossess. too bad i don't own a single dvd...
wait! that better not be my Xmas gift! i believe i may have gone overboard on his gift...starting to reconsider...maybe i should just get that damn sweatshirt...AAAHHHH!!!
You may be a good man, Charlie Brown...but I do so need some more brain cells! and ones that work this time, please! whew...it's gonna be a day...oh yeah, one of those freaking sporadic days!

bingo balls

dammit! now i'm a G-46 AND an N-35 away from that seemingly unattainable goal...
technically, it's a good thing i guess. now i have 2 rows at level "almost bingo".

i know u seen me on the radio...

so, in light of all this past weekend's events, i failed to mention the better happenings...

on saturday nite, some of us went out to dinner at D&B's and then saw Blade. well, we saw blade and we saw wesley wesley wesley. good movie. first is still the best, forgot the second cuz it was so bad, but third is good. completely left open for a fourth and more wesley wesley wesley. :)

got quite a hair chop earlier that day. it must really be bad, cuz everyone is complimenting it. so they must really feel sorry for my poor missing hair. so sad.

now time to wait for the grades. and congratulations to me...as i am now the new MBA student association secretary. let's see how long that lasts!

and some unrelated good news...i am one G-46 away from hitting BINGO! at work...wish me luck...

lucious lushes

well it looks like my part time position changes a little beginning in January. good news is that i will be able to work completely from home. bad news? yep, it's tedious & frustrating database content adding...bleh bleh double bleh. ALL content adding...no more personnel issues, budget balancing, or 5 minute meetings that last 2-1/2 hours to break up the monotony of the day.

at least my supervisor has let me in on his secret for his best additions to the database. it's quite simple. simply a beer. go fig. im gonna have a grand old time.

and my car guy may become negative car guy if he gets one of his current car shopping alternatives! I don't care if it's the super duper "sport performance scion" (isn't that an oxymoron, by the way?)!! maybe he's just the moron! well, he's a moron with snowboard passes cuz i'm so sweet! damn, i better really like that spoiler....or spoiler/body kit now! alas! maybe my expectations are exceeding me... oh, how i wish i was working from home today!

a bit much?

ok, so it's last minute xmas gift time. It appears, (just like last year!) that most people will receive a card with the following enscription: "a small donation has been made in your name to the Lori education fund. She appreciates your kindness and wishes you & yours the best throughout this joyous season..." u get the point. last year i was even nice enough to include lotto scratchers! this year's "extra" item is still in debate...

However, there are a few choice people who i will adorn with something...and, hence the point of this post. car guy happens to seem quite interested in seeing me as much as possible, so he's on my good list for now. BUT, what to get, what to get! shoulda met him after the holidays! i'm so bad at this kinda thing...

so first off, i know he wants a new UCR sweatshirt...how lame. i can't stand some people & their school spirit. though it would have made an easy gift, but it's just not like me! i must i must i must be difficult!

and on the other hand, i know he loves snowboarding (why, u ask? i dunno...i've never tried). So i decide to go with a hundred dollar gift certificate to one of the nicer local mountains. It sounded like a lot at first, but this is barely enough for 2 people to go for 1 day! damn his expensive hobbies...

anyways, like i said, i am completely uneducated in the etiquette of gift-giving, so i may be all wrong. all i know is that my gift had better be kickass! a spoiler for my car would be nice...lol...

fridays may now be free...

but they say $200 is a feasible cancellation cost!

my dearest t-mobile...

one third of a step forward and two kajillion steps back...

duck duck duck GOOSE, it's happy gilmore!

Dear mr. blog,
Today, I almost got hit with a golfball. yes, it is true. I was out and about on my morning run, when SMACK! a golf ball hits the sidewalk only an inch in front of my toe. if i was only a split second faster or slower, it woulda bonked off my head. how upsetting.

adventure #2, u ask? why, that crazy ex showed up sober w/ apologies & the rest of my items (aka POWs). I was assured that last nite was the last relapse...

and, i guarantee my neighbors are sooooo tired of listening to Ginuwine's Pony song. but i don't care because I am having such a day!

and let there be light...

have u ever been out with the new guy you're kind of seeing & your ex begins calling/paging/text messaging u repeatedly?
and it gets better...
then, later the same day when u are chilling at your apartment with the same guy...your ex begins calling your house phone and even shows up knocking on the door?
well...the same thing just happened to me.
and i certainly did NOT open that door.
time to see if car guy ever calls me back after this episode!
...alas, i am not holding my breath...

some people!

...call me a space cowboy
some call me the gangster of love
some people call me maurice
(WHOO-whoo)
Cuz i speak on the (insert correct word here) of love...

Last nite i dreamt someone stole my cell phone and my math book. Number 1, you steal my cell phone (no matter how much T-mobile sux) & i am out of commission. Number 2? You may have that damn book. i already tried to sell it back & no one wants it. so good riddance.

and, thanks, "the sean" for the extremely belated finals notification. it was really (insert sarcasm here!) helpful... :)

choose your battles

seriously, half the stuff isn't even worth the drama.

presentations/papers/finals for fall quarter are now officially over. what to do with my free time, you ask? why, mischief, of course! ;)

i am also honestly starting to think i would make a great, unmotivated PhD candidate. I have decided that i do like school for the essence of learning, or maybe it's just a great excuse for why i'm not running my own business by now.... hmmmm.

last nite, i found myself considering the fact that i only have 7 quarters left & wondering what happens after that? maybe i should have went for the PhD....at least then i would have some more years to think about it!

one auto repair at a time...

it's a whole new world with my 2 brand new tires with traction...
too bad the alignment will have to wait.

and, why didn't somone remind me that FINALS are this week? Third final tonite at 7PM. At this time I shall also hand in 22 pages of marketing genious....
genious, i tell you!

it must be nice...

...especially if you can forget to take your scarf off and ignore how hot it is. and not care that you have to be at work in less than 20 minutes and your hair really does look like you've been rolling around in the bed, floor, etc.
yep. it must have been nice. regardless.

forgive me, but i do not have cable

how embarassing. apparently, the real show is called "queer as folk".
not "ass".
so very embarassing. but, to my advantage, no one witnessed this revelation happening in my brain...
THAT would have been completely embarassing.

meet me at the quickie mart...

i wonder...is it considered a "date" if you sell text books back to your school together? i have never in my life organized such a random event. and yet i am curious enough to go along.
meet him at 9 or 10, sell books, and then do lunch? what have i gotten myself in to! I schedule nothing! the clock in my car is even an hour ahead of real time because:
1) i am not capable of changing the clock, and
2) technically, it means i'm being proactive for spring daylight savings time (yeah...that's the ticket...)
anyways, i guess you all know what i am doing tomorrow, though i told him 11 was more like it. yep, u know who's in charge...

what i learned this week...

1. Professors assign group work because it's easier to grade 1 paper per 5 people than it is to grade 35 individual creative works.
2. T-mobile customer service sucks more than the suckiest thing that ever sucked. and it sucks to suck that hard.
3. And, the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.

i'm intrigued now! i really gotta try that third one! (sorry, mom!)

and for my next random thought, I am contemplating activating my email address on my blog. Does anyone do that? I think people might just send meanie messages though, so i am only *considering* this option!
Feel free to offer your suggestions or relay your own experiences with this function...

fair enough

ok, so it's freezing cold, but I can now check my credit for free.
